The Technical Department of Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) successfully concluded a Grassroots Coach Education Program in Kegalle recently. The program was conducted for the Physical Education Teachers in Sabaragamuwa Province from 25th to 28th September 2018 at the Kegalle Maha Vidyalaya Grounds.
The objective of organizing these Grassroots Programs is to improve and develop the knowledge of Teachers about the Grassroots level Football in the country with a vision of developing young kids into talented and skillful players for the future which would help to build strong national teams
A total of 30 physical education teachers from the respective schools in Sabaragamuwa Province participated for this coach education program and 250 children participated for the grassroots festival in final day of the program representing schools in Kegalle District.
The coach education program was instructed by the Acting Technical Director of FFSL Mr. Chamind Steinwall and was assisted by Mr. Samantha Bogodawatta. The program was coordinated by Football Coordinator of FFSL Mr. Jude Fernando
