Former Sri Lanka skipper Sanath Jayasuriya donated face mask and safety equipment’s to the front line media professionals along with Professional Sports Journalists Association of Sri Lanka.
The founder of the Bellose Care Chathura Perera and H.H.Co Chinthaka Sajeewa also contributed for the worthy causes by donating their Medical and Safety products to the Journalists joined hand with Sanath Jayasuriya.
Professional Sports Journalists Association of Sri Lanka was initiated the projects and donated Special Task Foces, Medical Professionals and Journalist who are on the frontlines of this pandemic in Sri Lanka.
Speaking to media master blaster Sanath Jayasuriya said, “Media professionals also playing the major role in the pandemic situation in Sri Lanka and our duty to take care of them”.
“I have seen couple of social concern works carried out by the PSJASL last couple of the weeks and I decided to contribute something for them. Especially sports journalist did immense supports during my early days of Cricket.”
He further said, “At least we get time to spend with our loved ones at home and that should be taken as a blessing. We should use this to bond and keep the relationships strong.”
“Take the maximum and try and help one another, check up on your neighbors and try to donate at least a meal to the needy and stray animals that come by your neighborhood. Keep safe and stay strong,” he said.
