Sri Lanka National Team Practices to resume on 22 June

The National men’s football squad which has been out of action since mid-March has also been cleared to resume practices from 22 June, with all players having been briefed about preventive measures they have to take. This was confirmed by the President of the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) Anura de Silva.
Commenting on resumption of the sport the FFSL President said: “We are expecting to resume the Men’s football practices by 22 June under strict social distancing guidelines. Football is a close contact sport so we will strictly follow the guidelines given by the Government. However, once the players are sent to the training camp they will remain there for nearly three weeks and will not be allowed to go back to their homes during that period.”
